Meeting of Acting Minister for International Scientific Cooperation and Uruguay’s Ambassador
Dr. Hossein Salar Amoli, Acting Minister for International Scientific Cooperation, met with Carlos Sgarbi, Uruguay’s Ambassador to Tehran. Mr. Sgarbi noted that the new Uruguay government takes new policies in comparison to the previous one. He also added that Uruguay supports and accompanies Iran’s situation in the UN resolutions.
In response, Dr. Salar Amoli briefed Iran’s massive scientific potential. Head of Center of International Scientific Cooperation pointed to the four fields of “professor and student exchange”, “Joint research”, “Persian Language”, and “Science and Technology Parks” wherein the two countries could expand their cooperation.
Mr. Sgarbi suggested sending students, particularly political science and international relations, to Iran.
Dr. Bagheri, Deputy of the Persian Language Expansion of the Center for International Scientific Cooperation, who also presented in the meeting, pointed to Uruguayan welcome of Iran’s cultural meeting in Montevideo.
