Iranian Technical and Vocational University’s Letter to 20 Presidents of Major Universities and Research Institutes

Dr. Ebrahim Salehi Omran, Chancellor of Technical and Vocational University, sent his letter to 20 presidents of major universities and research institutes on fighting Covid-19 and imposed sanctions. In his letter, Dr. Salehi Omran pointed to the negative impact of the inhuman sanctions on Iranian people in the middle of the fight against Coronavirus. He also added that “the United Nations and other relevant international organizations, including the World Health Organization, have taken no significant measures in lifting sanctions against Iran.” Highlighting scientific cooperation among nations, he asked the scientific community “to disentangle itself from international politics and fight discrimination against people.” In the end, he asked these universities and research institutes “to expand your scientific cooperation with Iranian scientific community and avoid of the following imperatives of the inhuman sanctions.”
