Sport Sciences in Shahid Rajaee Teacher Training University (SRTTU) was founded in 1996 under the department of Human Sciences. Over the past 20 years, it has always been devoted to educate typical sport teachers and students. This department was expanded to the faculty of sport sciences in 2009. Nowadays, it consisted of 3 educational department: Exercise Physiology, Motor Behavior and Sport Management. These fields offering programs in different levels: Bachelor, Master and PhD degrees.
The education programs of typical students are separated from teacher’s education programs in order to provide professional education for each group. The faculty has a dean that manage the faculty by making decision, implementing policies and providing a strategic vision. He’s appointed by the chancellor of university.
